U-HAUL!!

Jeeez! What a weekend in Framingham, MA!! Lauren and I were excited about moving to Vermont, but the big move!? NO! On Saturday morning, we got up and got busy with packing and moving furnitures. Two weeks ago, Lauren booked a U-HAUL truck and get one month free storage in Greenfield, MA (20 miles away from Brattleboro). She called the storage on Saturday to see what time they close and they said they do not provide one month storage because they are not part of U-HAUL. She was puzzled and called the truck place and they said they did not even have a truck for us! Poor Lauren, she called and called and they were not very helpful. On their computer system, they had the storage that says 1 month free. We continued to pack and then got frustrated with U-HAUL. Lauren finally got a storage in Keene, NH (30 minutes away). Now the truck was the big issue to transport everything. Krisz stopped by to help us and then went to the bar. Alejo and Kevin stopped by to chat and have some beer.

On Sunday morning, U-HAUL was supposed to call Lauren at 9am, but never called back! Lauren called about 15-20 different phone numbers, customer sercice was not very good and said they sent an email to corporate headquarters in Framingham area. The last two days Lauren talked with more than 60 people about the truck and what did they do? NOTHING!!! When Lauren's dad Obo (Bob) came to help, he took over and fought with U-HAUL. We were all waiting for the truck so we can get moving. Lauren's brother in law Rick arrived and we just waited and waited. Rick and I went to get lunch from Burger King and I got an email thru my pager from Lauren that they FINALLY got a truck @ 2pm! Lauren and I went to get the truck and packed up the truck. Lauren already left to Keene, NH to open and put boxes in the storage from Obo's truck. Rick, Obo, and I finally finished moving the furnitures at 5pm! The storage in Keene closes at 5pm on Sunday! Wonderful!!

Obo and I arrived in Brattleboro around 7pm and met Lauren. We were so exhausted and went out for dinner then Obo left to go home. Now Lauren and I will have to do everything ourselves tomorrow or Tuesday before we can return the truck by 1pm Tuesday.

We will NEVER rent from U-HAUL EVER AGAIN! We suggest you not to rent from them too. I have seen some complains from other people about U-HAUL online. Lauren's mother wants us to sue them... said we could get all of our money back, but I dont think we are going to waste anymore time on them. They don't help at all! IDIOTS!

Vermont

Vermont!? Should I be living in the Green Mountain State? Well, I got a new job in Brattleboro, VT at Austine School For The Deaf. I will be working at a treatment program on campus. The previous job I had was in Framingham, MA at Walden School is different than my new job. Lauren also got the job too! :) We are in "small town" shock because we have lived in a big city/town, but VT is so different! We are living in a very small town, 5 miles away from New Hampshire. Vermont is a nice place to live, mountain views, low clouds in the morning with nice sunrise, and the weather is perfect.
The weather here is starting to get cool. We were told about "LONG WINTER", whick starts possible in Oct and ends in April. Lauren and I are thrilled to go skiing on our days off! We are about 3.5 hours away from Montreal, 8.5 hrs away from Sarnia where my family lives, 2 hrs from Boston, and 4 hours away from Alfred, ME where we have a campsite at Bunganut Lake through the summer.
We have absolutely no coverage on our pager! We are back on the computer and researching in getting a new blackberry pager that will work. I am definitely NOT getting a cell phone and using text message.
Lauren and I started training yesterday and just completed day two. Tomorrow is set-up day in the dorms and going through procedures. After training, we have to head back to Framingham to our apartment and do the final packing. Sunday is the big move day! Will be a long weekend, *sighs* oh well, thats part of life.
We start our first day with kids is on Tuesday. We are glad Austine School gave us an a room to use for a while. Means our new apt search will begin soon!
Will update about our big move after the weekend. Am off to complete the movie set of Friday the 13th I borrowed from my friend.

Greetings!

Greetings!

My very first blog! It sure was so hard to come up with a screen name. My girlfriend Lauren and I thought of few things characteristics and came up with "easy going", but just "easy" didnt sound right. Then Lauren thought about "EZ-Pass" when we pass the toll booths. The way we say "Z" in Canada is different from the USA. In the USA, they say "Zee" as for "Z" and Canada we say "zed". Lauren always laugh and make fun of me when I call it "EZed-Pass". So why not use it and of course my famous number 47 I still see everyday!

I will be posting more soon.
