U-HAUL!!

Jeeez! What a weekend in Framingham, MA!! Lauren and I were excited about moving to Vermont, but the big move!? NO! On Saturday morning, we got up and got busy with packing and moving furnitures. Two weeks ago, Lauren booked a U-HAUL truck and get one month free storage in Greenfield, MA (20 miles away from Brattleboro). She called the storage on Saturday to see what time they close and they said they do not provide one month storage because they are not part of U-HAUL. She was puzzled and called the truck place and they said they did not even have a truck for us! Poor Lauren, she called and called and they were not very helpful. On their computer system, they had the storage that says 1 month free. We continued to pack and then got frustrated with U-HAUL. Lauren finally got a storage in Keene, NH (30 minutes away). Now the truck was the big issue to transport everything. Krisz stopped by to help us and then went to the bar. Alejo and Kevin stopped by to chat and have some beer.

On Sunday morning, U-HAUL was supposed to call Lauren at 9am, but never called back! Lauren called about 15-20 different phone numbers, customer sercice was not very good and said they sent an email to corporate headquarters in Framingham area. The last two days Lauren talked with more than 60 people about the truck and what did they do? NOTHING!!! When Lauren's dad Obo (Bob) came to help, he took over and fought with U-HAUL. We were all waiting for the truck so we can get moving. Lauren's brother in law Rick arrived and we just waited and waited. Rick and I went to get lunch from Burger King and I got an email thru my pager from Lauren that they FINALLY got a truck @ 2pm! Lauren and I went to get the truck and packed up the truck. Lauren already left to Keene, NH to open and put boxes in the storage from Obo's truck. Rick, Obo, and I finally finished moving the furnitures at 5pm! The storage in Keene closes at 5pm on Sunday! Wonderful!!

Obo and I arrived in Brattleboro around 7pm and met Lauren. We were so exhausted and went out for dinner then Obo left to go home. Now Lauren and I will have to do everything ourselves tomorrow or Tuesday before we can return the truck by 1pm Tuesday.

We will NEVER rent from U-HAUL EVER AGAIN! We suggest you not to rent from them too. I have seen some complains from other people about U-HAUL online. Lauren's mother wants us to sue them... said we could get all of our money back, but I dont think we are going to waste anymore time on them. They don't help at all! IDIOTS!

Grrr, I know that feeling!

Does that explain the name of their company 'U-Haul'? They don't haul on their part, even a wee bit at all, such as their energy to work things out. Just "YOU". They've got nothing to do with it. What 'A-Hog'!

:)

Oh my.... I am glad you are FINALLy in VT. I didn't have any problem with U-Haul as it is very popular in NYC! :) By the way, it's Connie because I do not have any username right now.
